Yucca Tip- 2G

The easty to grow Yucca is a great choice for the first-time plant owner.  With it's sword-like foliage on a broad cane, it makes a bold tree like statement. 

Native to Guatemala and southeast Mexico, it likes to be kept dry & is drought tolerant requiring not much water.  Water when the top 75-100% of the soil is dry- perhaps every 1-2 weeks depending on your indoor climate. Let the water drain through the bottom, empty the saucer of any water & then allow to dry out again.  A Yucca Cane that turns yellow means that it is getting too much water and its roots may be rotting.

It will do best in bright indirect light. If the Yucca is exposed to direct light, the leaves may burn. It can tolerate lower light areas but will grow much slower.
